With full development and operational rights secured through a signed concession agreement, Strom has initiated the complete transformation of Farin Ruwa into a modern hydropower facility. A feasibility study contract was awarded to ILF Engineers of Germany in April 2025, marking the start of a rigorous, engineering-led process designed to optimize energy output, ensure environmental sustainability, and strengthen regional resilience.

Strom’s vision extends beyond power generation. The project is expected to create over 2,000 jobs across construction, logistics, technical operations, and community support services—directly empowering the people of Nasarawa State. Through ongoing collaboration with the state government, Strom is developing an inclusive framework for resettlement, workforce training, and community participation to ensure broad-based benefits.

Once operational, Farin Ruwa will generate 40MW of renewable electricity, supplying over 150,000 homes and small businesses, reducing reliance on fossil fuels, and offsetting more than 60,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually. This initiative positions Strom as a catalyst for Nigeria’s clean-energy future and reaffirms its dedication to sustainable national development.

In 2026, the project will move into its next major phase, marked by groundbreaking activities, dam rehabilitation, and the construction of key hydropower infrastructure. What lay dormant for years will rise again—now with the power to energize communities and strengthen Nigeria’s renewable-energy landscape.
